WOLF PACK DROP HEARTBREAKER 3-2 TO BRUINS BY: Alex Thomas Hartford Wolf Pack HARTFORD, CT – The Hartford Wolf Pack dropped their second straight game on Wednesday night, 3-2 in heartbreaking fashion to the Providence Bruins. The Wolf Pack struck first for the third time in the season series with the Bruins, breaking the ice 2:38 into the game. Trey Fix-Wolansky continued his torrid pace against the Bruins, ripping a shot from the right-wing circle that beat Michael DiPietro to give the Wolf Pack a 1-0 lead. The goal was Fix-Wolansky’s team-leading 19th of the season and his sixth against the Bruins. Derrick Pouliot extended the lead to 2-0 at 6:36 of the middle stanza with his second goal of the season. Late on the power play, Pouliot stepped into a blast that beat a screened DiPietro. Adam S?kora picked up the primary assist on the goal, his second of the night.   HARTFORD WOLF PACK SEND BRENDAN BRISSON AND SCOTT MORROW TO NEW YORK RANGERS F Juuso Pärssinen & Jaroslav Chmelař recalled to Rangers BY: Alex Thomas, Hartford Wolf Pack HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the club has assigned forward Brendan Brisson and defenseman Scott Morrow to the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack. Additionally, the club has recalled forwards Juuso Pärssinen and Jaroslav Chmelař from Hartford. Brisson, 24, has appeared in 46 games with the Wolf Pack this season, scoring 23 points (13 g, 10 a). He is second on the club in goals and leads the Wolf Pack in power play goals with six. Brisson was selected to represent the Wolf Pack at the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic in Rockford, IL. It was his first All-Star appearance. He has also skated in three games with the Rangers, recording an assist. Shea comes to the Swamp Rabbits having previously skated with the Utah Grizzlies and AHL’s Colorado Eagles. The 6’1”, 195-pound forward earned an assist in his lone AHL game and collected eight goals and 23 points in 31 contests with the Grizzlies. Through two games of their franchise record 11-game road trip, the Swamp Rabbits are 1-1-0-0. Both teams traded blows in a wild opening period that featured five total goals, with Reading taking a 3-2 lead into the intermission. BISON BLANKED BY WALLEYE, OLLAS PERFECT IN RELIEF BY: Erik Konwinski, Bloomington Bison Toledo, Ohio –  The Bloomington Bison remained perfect on the penalty kill against the ECHL’s top powerplay but could not score in a 5-0 loss to the Toledo Walleye at the Huntington Center on Saturday evening. Bloomington lost a defensive zone faceoff to the Walleye, who promptly blasted in the eventual game-winning goal just two minutes and 50 seconds into the game from the high slot. Five seconds after winning the ensuing faceoff at center ice, the puck was flipped over the glass from inside Bloomington’s zone to put Toledo on the powerplay. Eddie Matsushima pressured for the shorthanded Bison and helped keep the puck out of his zone to complete the penalty kill. ISLE DROP SECOND STRAIGHT TO B'S - 3/1 By: Jason Shaya, Bridgeport Islanders Providence, RI. — The concluding set of back-to-back road games for Bridgeport took place on Sunday afternoon inside Amica Mutual Pavilion against the Providence Bruins. The Isles looked for redemption from the shootout loss suffered the previous night. But, the Bruins proved once again to be a difficult opponent and the Isles skated away in the defeat without adding points in the standings. After a scoreless first period, Riley Duran scored a shorthanded goal at 3:23 putting the Isles down 1-0 in the middle frame. Cam Berg tied the game at 1-1 at 12:44 after his slap shot beat Michael DiPietro for his 7th of the season. Matthew Poitras scored to recapture the lead for Providence at 16:55 bringing the game to a 2-1 score.
