WOLF PACK DROP CLOSE ONE TO COMETS, 2-1 By: Jason Alwang, Howlings HARTFORD, CT: The Utica Comets defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack in a tightly contested battle, 2-1, at the PeoplesBank Arena in front of a big Hartford crowd of 7,581 on Friday night. Marc McLaughlin scored the game-winning goal off a two-on-one rush for his third goal of the season at 12:30 of the third period, giving the Comets a 2-0 lead at the time. The goal is McLaughin’s third of the season, and Brian Halonen and Calen Addison recorded the assists on McLaughlin’s marker. BOX SCORE Ethan Edwards scored the first goal of the game when the Comets quickly put on a good shift and capitalized with Edwards putting in a shot past Dylan Garand (23 saves) for his ninth goal of the season at 10:05 of the third period. Topias Vilen and Cam Squires recorded the assists on the goal. The Comets got multiple shots off on the shift, tiring the Hartford skaters. TREY FIX-WOLANSKY STRIKES TWICE AS PACK DOWN BRUINS 5-2 By: Alex Thomas, Hartford Wolf Pack PROVIDENCE, RI – The Hartford Wolf Pack used a three-goal first period to gain a lead they never lost on Sunday afternoon. The final result was a 5-2 victory over the Providence Bruins at the Amica Mutual Pavilion, the club’s second in a row . For the second straight game, the Wolf Pack broke the ice. Dylan Garand flung a puck to the blue line that snuck by a defenseman and was collected by Trey Fix-Wolansky. Fix-Wolansky rushed in on the left-wing side and snapped a shot that Michael DiPietro denied. Fix-Wolansky corralled the rebound and stuffed it by DiPietro at 4:03 to make it 1-0. Garand’s assist was his third of the season, while Fix-Wolansky’s goal was his team-leading 17th. Case McCarthy helped extend the lead to 2-0 at 11:35 when he fired a shot into traffic. The club welcomes a pair of North Division opponents to PeoplesBank Arena on Friday and Saturday, then concludes the weekend with a trip to Rhode Island on Sunday. The Week That Was: Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026 – at Charlotte Checkers (3-2 W): The Wolf Pack snapped their six-game skid with a 3-2 victory over the Checkers in the ‘Queen City’ on Saturday afternoon. Jack Studnicka opened the scoring 4:40 into the game, tipping home a shot from Mike Benning from the left-wing point. Less than five minutes later, at 9:01, Justin Dowling evened the score with his ninth goal of the campaign. Dowling fired a low shot from the right-wing circle that got by Cooper Black, kicking off a stretch of three goals in 6:27. Brendan Brisson gave the Wolf Pack the lead for good at 13:42, snapping a shot from the slot for his 13th goal...

TUNG, ROBIDOUX, AND GAVLAS SHINE AGAINST MAINE By: Erik Konwinski, Bloomington Bison Bloomington, Ill –  Parker Gavlas and Mikael Robidoux each scored in their return to the lineup, and Callum Tung made 45 saves, but the Bloomington Bison fell 4-3 to the Maine Mariners at Grossinger Motors Arena on Saturday evening. Bloomington started with high energy and created a strong offensive zone presence while controlling zone time. The Mariners appeared to take an early lead, but the goal was disallowed upon review. Bloomington was held scoreless on back-to-back power-play chances before Maine struck first for a second straight game on the weekend. Tung was also strong in his return to home ice and stopped 13 of 14 shots in the frame, including an odd-man rush save and a one-timer while shorthanded. OILERS END SWAMP RABBITS BID FOR A SWEEP Hausinger and Schandor pot two in the second, but Tulsa pulls away in the third By: Mark Binetti, Greenville Swamp Rabbits (GREENVILLE, S.C.)  –  Cam Hausinger scored a power play goal to start a second-period rally, and Hudson Schandor followed late to bring the game within one, but the Tulsa Oilers, who went up 3-0 early, pulled away with a 5-2 win on Sunday afternoon. The Oilers jumped out to a 3-0 lead, carrying from the end of the first to the start of the second. Keegan Iverson got Tulsa on the board with 5:09 left in the first, burying a low-to-high pass from inside the point past Swamp Rabbits net-minder Pierce Charleson. Exactly 3:00 later, Lukas Jirousek came in transition down the left side and threw a puck past Charleson’s glove to make it a 2-0 game with 2:09 to play in the first. During the contest, despite being up by a pair of goals in the first period, the Isles couldn’t hang on and ended up losing the contest to the Pens, 4-3. During the opening period, Adam Beckman put Bridgeport up 1-0 on his 19th of the year from Cole McWard and Travis Mitchell at 6:06. Julien Gauthier scored to make it 2-0 at 7:55 for his 5th of the season as he stood at the crease and swatted home a rebound past goalie Joel Blomqvist. WOLF PACK RECALL FORWARDS ZAKARY KARPA AND SULLIVAN MACK FROM LOAN By: Alex Thomas, Hartford Wolf Pack HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers Associate General Manager and Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin announced today that the club has recalled forwards Zakary Karpa and Sullivan Mack from loan to the ECHL’s Bloomington Bison Karpa, 23, has appeared in 33 games with the Bison as a rookie this season. He has scored 17 points (7 g, 10 a). The native of Greenwich, CT, was selected in the sixth round, 191st overall, of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft by the Rangers. He inked an AHL contract with the Wolf Pack on May 8, 2025. Prior to signing with the Wolf Pack, Karpa skated in 117 games with Harvard University, scoring 35 points (16 g, 19 a). He served as captain of the Crimson for two seasons (2023-24, 2024-25). Mack, 25, has scored 25 points (11 g, 14 a) in 36 games this season as a rookie with the Bison. He currently sits fifth on the team in points and tied for fifth in assists. The...

SEDOV LEADS BISON TO DEFEAT GRIZZLIES By: Erik Konwinski, Bloomington Bison West Valley City, Utah – Nikita Sedov capped off his third three-point performance with an overtime goal to lead the Bloomington Bison to a 4-3 victory over the Utah Grizzlies at the Maverik Center on Monday afternoon. For the first time in the three-game series against the Grizzlies, Bloomington struck first, taking advantage of a five-on-three powerplay at 9:26 of the opening period. After drawing a cross-checking penalty while on a powerplay, Head Coach Phillip Barski called his timeout and the team came through when play resumed. Kyle Jackson set up at the blue line and passed to Sedov on the right circle before Riku Ishida finished the play with a cross-ice, one-timed shot. Ishida’s seventh powerplay goal of the season propelled him to first place among defensemen.
