WOLF PACK PERREAULT LEADS COMEBACK TO BEAT MONSTERS 3-2 By: Alex Thomas, Hartford Wolf Pack CLEVELAND, OH – The Hartford Wolf Pack scored their second third-period comeback win of the season on Saturday night, striking three times in the third period to beat the Cleveland Monsters 3-2. The first period featured the Monsters outshooting the Wolf Pack by an 8-4 margin, but Spencer Martin stood tall in his club debut, making eight saves. The Monsters opened the scoring 11:38 into the middle frame when Corson Ceulemans potted his second goal of the season. Ceulemans was knocked down to the ice, but from his stomach, he found a loose puck and slid it through the five-hole of Martin for his second goal of the season. Hunter McKown extended the lead to 2-0 at 16:21, potting his second goal in as many nights. McKown drove down the left-wing side, cut to the front of the net, and beat Martin with a forehand shot. Additionally, the club has assigned goaltender Dylan Garand to the Wolf Pack. Martin, 30, signed a contract with the Rangers on Nov. 12. The native of Oakville, ON, split the 2024-25 season between the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes and the AHL’s Chicago Wolves. With the Hurricanes, Martin posted a record of 3-4-1 with an .846 save percentage, a 3.89 goals against average, and one shutout in nine appearances. As a member of the Wolves, Martin went 20-8-2 with a .909 save percentage, a 2.34 goals against average, and three shutouts in 31 games played. Shane Ott gave the Bison a 1-0 lead just 66 seconds after the opening faceoff when he slammed in a rebound from the near side of the net. Matsushima set up the play by forcing a turnover in neutral ice and creating the scramble in front. Mark Kaleinikovas dished the puck to Bloomington’s captain, and they each picked up assists in the ice-breaking goal. Iowa began to surge with seven minutes remaining, but after Dryden McKay made back-to-back, tricky saves, Bloomington added to its lead. Additionally, Rangers Associate General Manager and Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin announced today that the club has loaned forward Zakary Karpa to the Bison. Ollas, 23, has appeared in four games with the Bison this season. In that span, he has posted a record of 0-0-1 with an .880 save percentage and 4.57 goals against average. A season ago, Ollas appeared in 33 games split between the ECHL’s Bison and Worcester Railers. He posted a 10-9-2 record with the Railers and a 2-7-1 mark with the Bison. By: Jason Shaya, Bridgeport Islanders Springfield, MA – In a rematch from yesterday afternoon in Bridgeport, the Islanders were looking for redemption after dropping the home game against the Atlantic Division foes, the Springfield Thunderbirds. Just as the previous night, the game entered the final period all tied up, but this time they needed a shootout to decide the winner, and it was the Islanders who came up victorious in the 3-2 decision. During the first period, forward Eetu Liukas helped the Islanders to a 1-0 lead as a shot by Liam Foudy sailed past goalie Georgii Romanov and the body of Liukas at 13:16 for his second goal of the season. The Monsters’ all-time leader in goals, assists, and points scored twice for his new club as the Hartford Wolf Pack defeated the Cleveland Monsters 6-4 at Rocket Arena . Adam Sýkora opened the scoring 4:35 into the game, beating Ivan Fedotov for his fourth goal of the season. Casey Fitzgerald navigated his way into the offensive zone on the right-wing side, then carried the puck down the wall before sending a pass to Sýkora. Sýkora’s shot clipped the blocker of Fedotov and lit the lamp to make it a 1-0 game. The Monsters strung together a few shifts in the aftermath of the goal, eventually tying the game. Drury also announced that the Rangers have recalled defenseman Connor Mackey from the Wolf Pack. Pärssinen, 24, has recorded three points (2 g, 1 a) in 14 games with the Rangers this season. A season ago, Pärssinen appeared in games with the Rangers, Colorado Avalanche, and Nashville Predators. Sparks, 32, most recently played during the 2023-24 season, when he appeared in two games with the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and five games with the Wheeling Nailers. The 6-foot-3, 201-pound Elmhurst, Illinois, native was selected 190th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and has played in 40 NHL games. Denver Barkey was the hero for the Phantoms, cashing in backdoor past Dylan Garand (24 saves) off a feed from Alex Bump at 7:04 to give the Phantoms the 3-2 lead for his seventh of the season. The Phantoms struck three times in the final frame to take a 3-2 decision . The opening stanza featured just ten combined shots, with the Wolf Pack outshooting the Phantoms 6-4. Dylan Garand and Carson Bjarnason were perfect through 20 minutes. Brendan Brisson opened the scoring 10:31 into the second period, striking on the power play. Bloomington created the first two chances of the game, but after a Mark Kaleinikovas backhand bid and a Jonny Evans one-time blast were stopped, the Komets took control. Dryden McKay would face the next 15 shots over an 11-minute Fort Wayne onslaught that began with a diving goal-line save off a three-on-one rush by McKay. Bloomington dominated the beginning of the contest and outshot Iowa on a 5-1 tear to start. Later on, the Bison opened the scoring when Parker Gavlas potted his second goal in as many games from the left circle. Despite falling behind 3-1 in the first period, the Islanders fought back to tie the game at 3, but it ultimately wasn’t enough as they fell to the Americans 5-3. Rochester controlled the pace in the early stages and was rewarded at 16:18, when Jack Rathbone tucked home a net-front rebound for his first goal of the season, snapping Bridgeport’s four-game streak of scoring first. The Americans continued their fast start on their first power-play opportunity of the night. A point shot from Zach Metsa was deflected by Jagger Joshua at 13:38, extending the lead to 2-0. The Rocket would notch the next three goals, however, taking a 5-2 decision. The loss was the club’s seventh in a row (0-3-4-0). SWAMP RABBITS WIN ON CHARLESON’S 28-SAVE NIGHT O’Reilly pots game-winner, Lovell assists both goals in 2-1 win to avoid sweep  By: Mark Binetti, Greenville Swamp Rabbits (GREENVILLE, S.C.) – Ryan O’Reilly hit paydirt for a second straight game, this time providing the game-winner in the second period, and with Tim Lovell’s pair of assists and Pierce Charleson’s 28-save game, helped lead the Greenville Swamp Rabbits to a 2-1 win over the Florida Everblades on Saturday. The Swamp Rabbits earned the game’s first goal for a ninth time in 12 games, and carried the advantage into the first intermission. Parker Berge opened the scoring with 9:10 left in the first when Dante Sheriff threaded a pass from inside the blue line to him on the right wall. On his knee, Berge uncorked a one-timer that beat Everblades goalie Dave Tendeck over his glove shoulder, giving the Swamp Rabbits a 1-0 lead (Sheriff and Tim Lovell assisted).
