YANIV PERETS SHINES IN 2-0 BISON VICTORY By: Andy Zilch, Bloomington Bison Bloomington, Ill. –  Yaniv Perets’ third shutout led the Bison to a 2-0 victory over the Indy Fuel at Grossinger Motors Arena on Sunday afternoon. No scoring occurred in the first period. Despite two powerplay opportunities, the Bison failed to capitalize on the man advantages. To conclude the frame, the Bison and Fuel both had five shots on goal.   The game remained scoreless in the second period. The Bison and Fuel each had one powerplay opportunity, which neither could convert. The Fuel dominated offensively in the frame, outshooting the Bison by a 16-3 margin. The Fuel began the third period on the powerplay. However, the Bison surged during the penalty kill as Eddie Matsushima scored a shorthanded goal at :23 into the frame. Jake Murray assisted Matsushima’s 23rd of the season. Later in the period, with the Indy net empty for the extra attacker, Matsushima scored at 16:25 to extend the Bison lead to 2-0. Da...

ATLANTA WINS LATE DESPITE STRONG POWER PLAY Marcinkevics scores with 1:54 left; power play goes 2/3 to end road swing 3-4-0-0 By: Mark Binetti, Greenville Swamp Rabbits (DULUTH, Ga.) – Dominiks Marcinkevics potted his own rebound with 1:54 left in regulation, lifting the Atlanta Gladiators to a 4-2 win while erasing a 2/3 power play performance of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Thursday night. The Swamp Rabbits end their seven-game road swing with a 3-4-0-0 record heading into three games at home this weekend. Bryce Brodzinski and the Swamp Rabbits red-hot power play opened up the scoring entries, providing the only goal of the first 20 minutes. WOLF PACK WEEKEND PREVIEW: FEBRUARY 13th, 2025 By: Alex Thomas, Hartford Wolf Pack HARTFORD, CT – The Hartford Wolf Pack have won back-to-back games for the first time since Jan. 18 and 19 and now sit at 20-22-4-1 on the season. The club is five points out of the final playoff spot in the Atlantic Division, trailing the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. This weekend, the Wolf Pack head to North Carolina for the final time during the regular season. The club is looking for its second three-game winning streak of the season. Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at Charlotte Checkers (4:00 p.m.) Sunday, February 16th, 2025, at Charlotte Checkers (4:00 p.m.): The Wolf Pack and Checkers will meet for the sixth and seventh times this season on Saturday and Sunday. ISLANDERS BLOW TWO GOAL LEAD, LOSE IN OT

(February 12, 2025) -  The Bridgeport Islanders (11-31-3-2), American Hockey League affiliate of the New York Islanders, let a pair of two-goal leads slip away in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Hartford Wolf Pack (20-22-4-1) at XL Center on Wednesday. Henrik Tikkanen (3-11-1) faced an AHL career-high 43 shots and made a career-best 39 saves, most of whom came in the third period. On the offensive side, Riley Piercey scored his first AHL goal, while Matt Maggio and Chris Terry also beat goaltender Dylan Garand (13-7-4). Brennan Othmann had two goals and one assist for Hartford. BOX SCORE Bridgeport capitalized twice in the first period to take a 2-0 lead. Maggio opened the scoring at 11:17, following up Liam Foudy’s drive to the net and forcing home a rebound for his third goal in the last five games. (February 8, 2025) - Hunter Miska made 28 saves, and his teammates scored five unanswered goals ahead of him on Saturday as the Bridgeport Islanders (11-31-2-2), American Hockey League affiliate of the New York Islanders, dominated the Charlotte Checkers (25-14-3-2) in a 5-1 victory at Total Mortgage Arena. Liam Foudy, Cam Thiesing, and Sam Bolduc scored once and added an assist, while Chris Terry collected two helpers. Miska (1-4-0) was perfect in the second and third periods to backstop his first win as an Islander and his first AHL victory since Apr. 23, 2022. With the win, the Islanders snapped a five-game skid and picked up their second straight victory against the Checkers. WOLF PACK LOAN F BLAKE MCLAUGHLIN TO ECHL’S BLOOMINGTON BISON By: Alex Thomas, Hartford Wolf Pack HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers Assistant General Manager and Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin announced that the club has loaned forward Blake McLaughlin to the ECHL’s Bloomington Bison. McLaughlin, 24, has scored 22 points (10 g, 12 a) in 26 games with the Bison this season. He is currently third on the club in goals, and fifth in points. The native of Grand Rapids, MN, has also skated in four games with the Wolf Pack, recording two assists. In 64 career AHL games with the Wolf Pack and San Diego Gulls, he has scored five points (1 g, 4 a). McLaughlin was selected in the third round, 79th overall, by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He inked a contract with the Wolf Pack on Aug. 12.
