The transaction is as follows: - The Reading Royals trade forward Devon Paliani to the Savannah Ghost Pirates in exchange for Brent Pedersen - The Greenville Swamp Rabbits acquire Brent Pedersen in exchange for defenseman Logan Britt and future considerations Pedersen skated the past two seasons with the division rival Savannah Ghost Pirates. Last year, the 6’3”, 215-pound forward finished third on the Ghost Pirates in scoring 43 points (22g-21ast) in 65 games and added another contest with the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights. Heritage Bank Center to play host to plenty of excitement in 2024-25 By: Dana Grey, Cincinnati Cyclones CINCINNATI, OH - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, have announced the promotional schedule for the 2024-2025 season inside Heritage Bank Center. This schedule includes 13 unique giveaways for fans, eight $2 Beer Nights, and seven specialty jersey games. The fun begins with the Cyclones’ annual “First Face-Off” on Saturday, October 26th, when Cincinnati hosts divisional-rival the Indy Fuel on home ice. Defenseman played last season with EIHL Belfast; previously played in 2022-23 with Greenville By: Mark Binetti, Grenville Swamp Rabbits GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, announced today that defenseman Miles Gendron has returned to the ECHL with the Swamp Rabbits in advance of the 2024-25 ECHL Season. Gendron is the thirteenth player and sixth defenseman who announced this offseason to the roster. Gendron returns to the Swamp Rabbits and the ECHL after spending the 2023-24 season with the EIHL’s Belfast Giants. The 6’3”, 190-pound blue-liner registered seven assists in 28 games across all competitions. 11th year veteran was acquired last year in a season-ending trade  By: Mark Binetti, Greenville Swamp Rabbits GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, announced today that veteran forward Tyson Fawcett has signed with the Swamp Rabbits for the 2024-25 ECHL Season. Fawcett is the first veteran player announced to the roster, with over 260 games of professional hockey recognized by the ECHL. Teams are permitted to carry four veterans on the active roster throughout the season. With Fawcett’s signing, the team has twelve players announced for the 2024-25 campaign: goaltender Luke Richardson, defensemen Max Coyle, Joshua Karlsson, Jacob Modry, Logan Britt, and Bobby Russell, and forwards Austin Saint, Ben Freeman, Ben Poisson, Arvid Caderoth, and Colton Young, the latter of which signed an AHL deal with the Ontario Reign last week. Club to Celebrate 50 Years of Professional Hockey in Hartford on January 11th By: Alex Thomas, Hartford Wolf Pack HARTFORD, CT – The Hartford Wolf Pack unveiled the promotional schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season, the club's 28th in the Connecticut capital. This season also marks the 50th anniversary of professional hockey in Hartford. The home schedule kicks off with the club’s annual Home Opener on Friday, October 18th at 7:00 p.m. against the Springfield Thunderbirds. The night will feature the first giveaway of the season, as fans will receive a Wolf Pack rally towel courtesy of Xfinity and CM Concessions. Home Opener weekend concludes on Saturday, October 19th when the Bridgeport Islanders come to town for a 6:00 p.m. puck drop. WOLF PACK GET BURKE AND MARA AS ASSISTANTS

By: Alex Thomas, Hartford Wolf Pack  HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the club has named Brendan Burke as the Goaltending Coach of the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack. Burke will replace Jeff Malcolm, who served as the Wolf Pack’s Goaltending Coach for each of the past three seasons. Malcolm has been named Goaltending Coach for the Rangers. Additionally, the Rangers have named Paul Mara an Assistant Coach on the staff of Grant Potulny. Mara and Jamie Tardif will serve as the Assistant Coaches to Potulny, who was named the eighth Head Coach in Hartford Wolf Pack history on June 27, 2024. Burke, 29, has spent the last two seasons as the Goaltending Coach for the WHL’s Portland Winterhawks. Before that, Burke played four seasons at the University of Alberta, amassing a 37-8-0 record with a .916 save percentage, 2.08 goals against average, and eight shutouts in 52 appearances. WOLF PACK SIGN FORWARD BLAKE MCLAUGHLIN

By: Alex Thomas, Hartford Wolf Pack HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers Assistant General Manager and Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Blake McLaughlin on a one-year, standard AHL player contract. McLaughlin, 24, split the 2023-24 season between the AHL’s San Diego Gulls and the ECHL’s Tulsa Oilers. With the Oilers, McLaughlin scored 25 points (11 g, 14 a) in 21 games. Last spring, he added four assists in the club's four Kelly Cup Playoff games. The native of Grand Rapids, MN, also recorded two assists in 29 games with the Gulls. Throughout three pro seasons, McLaughlin has appeared in 60 games with the Gulls at the AHL level and scored three points (1 g, 2 a). He’s also recorded 59 points (25 g, 34 a) in 64 ECHL games during that span, all with the Oilers. WOLF PACK TO HOST THUNDERBIRDS IN OPENER

This is the first time in the franchise’s 28-year history that the Wolf Pack open the home portion of their schedule against the Thunderbirds. It is the fourth time in franchise history that the Wolf Pack have hosted a Springfield-based team in the home opener. The club welcomed the Springfield Falcons to the XL Center for the home opener in 2006-07 (October 7th, 2006, 3-2 loss), 2008-09 (October 11th, 2008, 4-3 loss), and 2009-10 (October 10th, 2009, 7-3 victory). The Wolf Pack and Thunderbirds met ten times during the 2023-24 season. Each side won five games in regulation time, posting identical 5-5-0-0 records. THE WALTER CUP MAKES THE HOCKEY HALL OF FAME IT’S NEW HOME  By: Kelly Masse, Hockey Hall of Fame TORONTO, CANADA - The Professional Women’s Hockey League’s (PWHL) championship trophy, the Walter Cup, is officially displayed at the Hockey Hall of Fame.  It will be showcased in the  “Women’s Hockey – Celebrating Excellence” display, as well as newly received artifacts from the PWHL’s inaugural season.  The Walter Cup, created in partnership with global luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co., weighs 35 pounds, stands 24 inches tall, and is over 13 inches wide.
