The beloved blue heeler from the Australian television franchise will be at Grossinger Motors Arena to meet and greet with fans and activities, including arts and crafts, will be on the concourse. Meet and greet times with Bluey are scheduled for 2:30-3:00 p.m., 3:30-4 p.m., 4:30-5 p.m. and 5:30-6 p.m. inside the arena restaurant. The Bison will also wear their new, blue alternate jerseys for the first time in celebration of the iconic character’s appearance. Mystery Guest Night is also a Sunday Family Fun Day when kids eat free with a meal coupon to be redeemed during the game, and all fans can participate in a post-game skate with Bison players on the ice. WOLF PACK SEND F BRETT BERARD TO RANGERS ON RECALL By: Alex Thomas, Hartford Wolf Pack HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the club has recalled forward Brett Berard from the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack. Berard, 23, has skated in 19 games with the Wolf Pack this season, scoring nine points (2 g, 7 a). He has also appeared in eleven games with the Rangers. The native of Providence, RI, was selected in the fifth round, 134th overall, by the Rangers in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. SWAMP RABBITS POINT STREAK ENDS TO ATLANTA AT HOLIDAY BREAK Atkinson breaks the shutout with four seconds to go, but Louis Boudon’s hat trick dooms Swamp Rabbits By: Mark Binetti, Greenville Swamp Rabbits (DULUTH, Ga.) – Josh Atkinson beat the buzzer with four seconds remaining in regulation to get the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on the board, but Louis Boudon’s hat trick, including two power play goals, powered the Atlanta Gladiators to a 3-1 win. The regulation loss is the first suffered by the Swamp Rabbits since December 7th at South Carolina, ending a four-game point streak. For a second straight game, both teams skated to a scoreless draw after 20 minutes. Pierce Charleson stopped a staggering 11 shots for the Swamp Rabbits, while TJ Semptimphelter stopped the only two thrown towards the Atlanta net. Phil Tomasino scored the game-winning goal at 2:59 of the second period. He got behind the Hartford defense and scored after taking the puck on his stick through the slot and made multiple moves to bury the breakaway goal past Spencer Martin (22 saves) for his second of the season, giving the Penguins a 1-0 lead at 2:59 of the second period. BISON LOSE TO WINGS,  2-1 ON SATURDAY By: Erik Konwinski, Bloomington Bison Bloomington, Ill. – Dryden McKay made 26 saves and Brett Budgell scored his third shorthanded goal of the season but the Bloomington Bison fell 2-1 to the Kalamazoo Wings at Grossinger Motors Arena on Saturday evening. With physical play mounting early, the first period ended up penalty-ridden with a combined 14 penalty minutes dished out and set the tone for the rest of the game. Bloomington’s penalty kill went three-for-three and Kalamazoo was two-for-two, with the Bison taking further advantage of shorthanded time to go up 1-0. Budgell capitalized on a two-on-one tap-in set up by Lou-Felix Denis after Denis forced a turnover on the Bloomington side of center. Budgell’s third shorthanded tally tied him for the most of any skater in the league this season. WOLF PACK FALL IN SHOOTOUT TO PHANTOMS BY: Alex Thomas, Hartford Wolf Pack ALLENTOWN, PA – The Hartford Wolf Pack battled back to earn a point on Saturday night against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Despite their efforts, the Wolf Pack came up short in a 2-1 shootout loss. The Wolf Pack and Phantoms traded chances in the opening frame, but each goaltender was up to the task. Spencer Martin made eleven saves in net for the Wolf Pack, while Carson Bjarnason turned aside eight bids. The Phantoms went to the power play early in the second period when Bryce McConnell-Barker was whistled for unsportsmanlike conduct. On the power play, Cooper Marody fed Lane Pederson in the left-wing circle. The veteran settled the puck and beat Martin by the right pad at 2:11 to break the ice. The goal was Pederson’s eighth of the season. Daniel Walcott tied the game with his first goal as a member of the Wolf Pack at 8:29 of the third period.
